Get to Know…Kirra! {Gilbert Senior Photographer}

November 13, 2013

Meet my beautiful spokesmodel, Kirra.  She is a sweet, mature and dedicated girl and I’m so happy to have her on my team!  I asked her a few questions to get to know her a little better, here’s what she had to say…

Q- What’s your favorite fashion accessory?
A- My tiffany’s necklace. I’m a big fan of tiffany’s because its simple and classy. I got it from my mom on my 16th birthday and wear it almost every day!

Q- What’s your favorite subject in school?
A- I love to write, I am a daughter of a published children’s author and it affects me greatly. So I’d have to say English. Also I enjoy politics and government.

Q- What do you want to do after high school?
A- I am going to study early childhood development at GCU (where I already have been accepted.) To become a kindergarten teacher. I’ve always had a passion for children.

Q- If you could hang out with any celebrity, dead or alive, for a day, who would it be and why?
A- I would choose Emma Watson in a heartbeat. She is such a classy, well held teenage woman and I have always looked up to her. She is a great example to young people.

Q- What’s been your favorite part of senior year so far?
A- My favorite part is knowing I am going to be walking in not too long. Knowing I am going to begin my future, and all the perks it comes with.

Q- What’s your favorite T.V. Show?
A- I’m a big fan of “NCIS LA” and “Awkward”

Q- Have you ever helped a stranger, if so how?
A- I served the poor and handed out toys on Christmas eve at my church growing up for years. It was the best feeling before going home and realizing how blessed I was. This year I donated to “My Sisters Place” a domestic violence center in my area, I brought birthday cards for a scholarship and added coloring books, and even got a tour and worked with the kids. Its amazing to make a difference.

Q- Which family member are you most like? Explain.
A- My Mom Kathy. No question. She has raised me my whole life and become not only a great mother but my best friend. We think alike, act alike, and theirs no one I would rather shop, travel, and dine with. I love you mom!

Q- Whats your favorite childhood memory?
A- Honestly, that my mom was a stay at home mom my whole childhood. It gave us much bonding time and great experiences!

Q- What one item can you not leave home without?

A- My camera! I’m huge on photos and capturing the moment! That’s one reason why I auditioned for a spoksmodel part with Stacey’s company and I have loved the experience! I would love to continue on to model for other companies if opportunities come my way!

Here’s what she had to say about her shoot with Stacey:

“My whole life I looked up to graduating seniors and how far they had come and how old they once had seemed to me.  Now as I am that senior it was important to me to find a photographer that could capture the real essence of the person I am and what I am yet to be.

I moved to a new city just before beginning my senior year in high school, which left me at a complete fork in the road of no idea who to choose to take these important photos with all they meant to me.  I searched through many websites of photographers with all different types, styles, and views. When I first found Stacey’s site I knew I had come upon something very special. I didn’t need to look any further. I was chosen by Stacey to be a Spokesmodel for her photography company. I was honored and excited to become a part of what she represented as a company.

Location was priority to me because I wanted a feel of where I came from and my background, which was the country. Being knew to Gilbert I had no idea about the area or where I could go. Together Stacey and I found the perfect location that spoke who I was.  I am very natural in my choice of makeup, and her makeup artist Jess worked with me to make me comfortable yet having a beautiful natural look in my photos. Stacey was so patient working with me, making sure I was satisfied with each pose for my different outfits. She listened to what I wanted and what I was looking to represent. She let me use all my props I had brought along with me, like my cheer pom-pom’s and tennis racket.

During the shoot I was so relaxed and confident that my pictures would turn out just how I had dreamed of. I remember walking away from the location thinking, “Wow.” I couldn’t even believe I had found a photographer like Stacey who made everything perfect and more. She made sure it was all I had waited for and knew how important this was to me.   Looking back I was so satisfied with my choice of Stacey Poterson Photography as a Spokesmodel and client. I hope others make the right choice with her also.”
