Brittany and Jay were married in a quaint 100 year old country church in Wisconsin! Their day was unique and beautiful! What made it even better is Brittany is my cousin and it was such a blast traveling with my parents back to Wisconsin to document her marrying her prince! I loved being a part of this day and seeing my family members- some who I haven’t seen in 10 years!
We were expecting it to be hot and muggy, but it wasn’t at all. In fact, that morning is was 65 degrees! The weather was absolutely perfect that day… just like these two are perfect for each other! This trip was the first time I got to meet Jay and I can already tell he’s the best man to be my cousin’s husband. He is the calm to Brittany’s boldness and seeing the love he has for her made my heart happy! It was also so fun to get a glimpse into Brittany and Jay’s world and all the people in it. These guys were surrounded by friends who were amazing and supportive. All were attentive and so sweet and so kind! Brittany and Jay, it was such a joy to be here celebrating with you guys- thanks for choosing me to document your big day!
Gotta love the midwest… a corn field right outside where Jay was getting ready.
Brittany surprised her mom (my aunt!) with the sweetest gift!
This church is over 100 years old- it doesn’t have air conditioning! But the weather was PERFECT on their wedding day and they were able to open the windows and let a cool breeze in.
Because the church was so small, Brittany had to wait on the bus while all the guests arrived- so that’s where my uncle (her dad) saw her for the first time.
Brittany’s Maid of Honor wore a jacket to honor Jay’s best friend who passed away.
He was Jay’s honorary best man, and they saved a seat on the pew for him.
Brittany and Jay asked my mom to do a reading. They let my mom choose what she wanted to read. My mom found something awesome to read that had me tearing up behind my camera!
But before the wedding when she was looking for ideas on what to say, I jokingly told her you should say
“Marriage is freaking hard. Get ready. Good luck.” Turns out my mom ended up quoting me at the end of her reading- a surprise to me…. I’m glad Brittany thought is was funny :).
This is where Jay had Brittany’s daughter, Vanessa, come up. He got on one knee and gave her a ring too. SO SWEET!
Their three rings together!
We were able to go to Munson Bridge Winery to take a few pictures. This Arizona girl was loving all this green!
Mama and her two daughters. Olivia- Brittany & Jay’s youngest daughter was a flower girl too!
When you have a butterfly on your shoulder…. then it falls into your dress! I had to put this in just for you, Brit!
They had a special dinner for their closest friends and family.
Congratulations you guys!!
Thanks for letting me and my parents be a part of your big day! Love you guys!
And Brittany, I threw this one in just for you…. turns out weeny’s are the choice of snack when you get hungry in the midwest!
